Weather

At roughly a 5000 ft elevation, Sonoita has one of the world’s best year-round climates. Summers are milder than nearby Tucson with temperatures about 10 to 12 degrees lower. Also, during the summer, the monsoon rains bring green grass and spectacular double rainbows. During the spring and fall months, residents often open their windows and require no heating or air conditioning. The winters are generally mild with occasional cold spells and even light snow which usually melts by noon. Many people choose to make Sonoita their home because of the spectacular climate.
